The end of another year approaches and we here at The Franklin Kite Institute of frigid musicology are toiling away in the secret hideout on the new disc, which is sounding quite excellent (in our humble opinions). Some good (belated) news: we got some excellent press for our show at the Burren back in October.

Bostonist featured a little preview of the show, as did boston.com's Sidekick blog. We're flattered by all the rapt attention. Watch this space, we'll got some shows and songs coming your way before the snow begins to melt. If it ever melts.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our terrifically fun Middle East show. We're on a break while we work on our new record and some of us ponder the stars. We'll announce new shows, etc. later in the fall. (Image of the Cat's Eye Nebula from the Hubble Space Telescope).
TFK will be retreating into the studio to record some of the newest material we showcased recently at T.T.'s. Look out for a new CD in the fall (and perhaps we'll tease you with a single or two before then).
In the meantime, save the date: on Saturday July 21 we'll emerge from the studio for an indie rock blowout at The Middle East Downstairs, opening for the hot hot Protokoll. Watch this space for more...
